It is essential, that you let ASSP collect spam/notspam in a continuous fashion. It is designed to do so and keep the ammount of colected mails at a maximum of xxxxx mails per folder. The threshhold defaults to 14003 files, but you can set any other value in the "Max Files" parameter. To make this work, the files must have a number as the file name, not a subject. Be sure to turn that off and run the "move2num.pl" script once which will rename your files in case you had "subject as filename" turned on during test-mode. If this option is turened off, ASSP will generate a random number between 1 and "Max Files" for the message to save, overwriting whatever had the same number before. This will provide a slow change of the message base over the time without the risk that a single bombing run will end up as xxx thousand identical messages and render your spambase unusable. You could set the "Max Files" to whatever amount of mail you currently have in your folder to keep this volume, or you could set it to a lower number, which would result in updating the "lower" part while keeping everything above the threshhold - just to be on the safe side. One of those "set and forget" installations that do their maintainance all by themself. -----Original Message----- From: Sharma, Ravi [mailto:rav...@in...] Sent: Monday, January 31, 2005 2:29 PM To: 'ass...@li...'
