I've recently tried exporting my animation into the COLLADA format using OpenCollada. However, when I drag the exported .dae file into AssimpView and play the animation, the normals appear wrongly.
The problem is that in the animation, the model moves left and right and also bends a little, but the normals displayed are the normals of the model at frame 1 of the animation.
Does anyone have an idea why? Or is this suppose to happen?
I am really new to 3D animation as a whole so please enlighten me.
Thanks.

That's a problem of the viewer. It does not evaluate bones when drawing the normals, so the normals appear as if it was frame 0. The normals that are actually used for lighting are the right ones!
Bye, Alex
