Just a brief hello to the developers to welcome another ambitious attempt at creating an open source ASIO solution. I discovered it by browsing the News Submissions at the Hydrogenaudio Forums.
I'd like to report my quick findings so far and I'll report later on 32 bits in a Virtual Machine, until some other guy gives it a try at 32 bits (if this is any help for you).
Configuration: Win7 x64, latest Winamp with ASIO out plugin and USB 2.0 speakers (Logitech Z-5). This configuration plays flawlessly with ASIO4ALL (2 channels, 16 bit, 44.100 output)
Installation: worked flawlessly.
Usage in Winamp: I am able to select ASIO2WASAPI from Winamp preferences and choose the speakers in its control panel. The first time I play a track I can hear a chopped sound for 2-3 seconds and then Winamp stalls (with no cpu load). In subsequent attempts I get no sound at all and Winamp remains stalled at 00:00. After that, Winamp cannot exit gracefully and remains as a process in Process Explorer and I have to kill it manually.
Please feel free to ask me about details for any diagnostic procedures/logs etc. I want to help.
