#9 domain.com as file folder in url

how can I get a file to download if on of the folders in
the link to the WMA files contains "domain.com" as the
folder name

mms://streamingdomain.com/domain.com/filename.wma

it seems that asfrecord does not like the period in the
foldername and that is tries to remove it while the
program is running in windows. I do not think I would
have the error in linux but not sure.

I'm looking for version 1 since I think it haddles the links
diffrent maybe
