I got the same error in my eclipse installation
The problem seems to appear when you use "maven embedded" for deployment

To be able to deploy within eclipse, I installed maven binaries in my
computer
Then I added a new Maven Installation in Eclipse
(Window->Preferences->Maven->Installations
Click add, then specify maven directory, click finish.

Then in "Run configurations", for deployment configuration, specify in
"main" tab the new maven runtime.
