It's a fact that it is complicated to find the best suited hardware for AROS and even when you get this, this is not always very practical to work on many computers.
Nowadays, there is a great functionnality called virtualization that you can use with VmWare or VirtualBox.
This emulate a PC on a PC with a dedicated hardware.
These virtualization tools comes with a set of drivers and tools to enhance the performances of the virtualization.
These drivers and tools are open source for VmWare (with open-vm-tools) and for VirtualBox (with the OSE edition).
I think AROS would benefit from a better support for these virtual environnements so that more people can use AROS comfortably on their PC, whatever OS is running on top of it.
