When you know C++ well, write a few games(snake, tetris, ... Even the most simple game teaches you some of the main parts of almost all games). If you are intrested in helping the arianne project you can download the source of arianne and study it, there are some documentation too, but it's old. There are also more than coding that needs to be done for arianne, im quite new to this project, so i don't know exactly all goings on yet tho = =3D) You could also join an IRC channel, like #c++newbs at irc.freenode.net (im "trejs" there).
