There are different kinds of signs in the game signs (with description or advice) and direction signs/signposts.

At the field where players are able to plant flowers at Semos plains north there should be signs not direction signs because their text explains how the field is supposed to work.

And at 0_semos_forest_s at (55,122) there is a sign and it should be a direction sign because the text is:
You read:
"North: Semos City
South: Kirdneh City
East: Nalwor City
Southwest: Or'ril Castle and Fado City"

    I managed to fix that in eclipse by deleting 4 lines and adding one line in semos.xml. Please take a look at it.
