hi,
this may be persuasion, but sinse I wear the medicinal ring I have a strong feeling that I get poisoned much quicker and more often than before !!! :O
this is hard to measure, though...
without the ring I could kill a winged blue imp with a good chance to not get poisoned...
but now it seems every winged blue imp does poison me after no more than three hits !!!

could this be a calculation but...
so instead of decreasing the possibility getting poisoned it increases it by 1/4 !?!?!

According to the tests I have run, the ring does work and increases resistance to poison. I was concerned about there not being something visible to judge it by. Part of the problem is the ring's low resistance value. 25% really does not make a huge difference. There are plans to implements quests to increase the ring's resistance.

Also, I am not sure if it is clear, but the ring MUST be worn on the finger for it to be active.

I definitely get less often poisended when I don't wear the ring
but I will test it for some time more ;)
