Items are marked as a "special reward" can be removed from chests by non-owners, but cannot be put back in. This could create accidental item loss in houses where keys are shared.

One solution might be to disallow removal of special items if player is not the owner. However, this would create issues with the community chest in Semos. Another option would be to just allow any player to replace the item back in the chest.

Perhaps it would be best to disallow removal unless player is owner and put a special condition on community chests that disallows placing special rewards in them.

There's yet another situation that can happen: confiscated/sold houses can have items left there by their previous owners. Those are potentially bound to the old owner.

That's a very good point. Seems that the simplest solution would be to allow players to replace the items back in the chests.

Perhaps we could make an exception for public chests.

Yes, but the other way round: It should not be possible to put bound items into a public chest (but needs to be allowed for bank and house chests)

I'm attempting to work on this, but it's proving more complicated than I expected.
