OK, needed something for arc's on walnut creek
Would not compile

/usr/bin/ld: arcunp.o:(.bss+0x8): multiple definition of crcval'; arcpack.o:(.bss+0x0): first defined here /usr/bin/ld: arcunp.o:(.bss+0x0): multiple definition ofstdlen'; arcpack.o:(.bss+0x8): first defined here
So I sprinkled some externs around and got it to work (compile)
But, but thought -- should test it--
Does not work, on atteched arc, lsar says it is OK

The attached file is not an ARC archive file. I have no idea what archiver created it.

lsar -t as well as listing tested files says
chngebsw.arc: Arc CBM
Maybe it is something to do with long file names
