[AQT-user] how to write an image file

I am using aquaterm in comjunction with plotting from a Fortran program.
I want to make a movie out of sequences of plots produced (MANY! - so I 
can't save it by hand).
Thus I need a Fortran-routine that saves a plot to a graphics file 
(does not matter what format).
Is there one, or do I have to read pixel by pixel and write it then as 
bitmap file?
