It does the things NetServer::Generic does, plus a bunch of other interesting things, it is setup to handle a config file, it'll handle daemonization stuff, and so forth. Sounds pretty cool. Anything rewritten now likely wouldn't make Woody anyway, so as long as it were packaged for the next stable release after Woody, whatever that'll be, I'd think it would be okay. And people playing with unstable or testing would then have access to it, and you could always compile the source package to use it on Woody. Thoughts? |
