    Does Applejack clear/clean the Font cache? Below is a procedure recommended by Extensis. If Applejack is doing this...thank you!

    Font Cache Issues
    If your fonts occasionally appear garbled or you are seeing other strange behavior with your fonts, you may be seeing a problems with the Mac OS X font cache.
    To workaround this issue:

    1. Remove the font cache files com.apple.ATS.System.fcache, com.apple.ATSServer.FODB_System and fontTablesAnnex that are found in
      /System/Library/Caches. You will need to enter an Administrator password in order to do this.
    2. Remove the folder com.apple.ATS from
      /Library/Caches.
    3. Remove the file com.apple.ATS.plist from
      /Users/[name]/Library/Preferences.
    4. Restart your Mac.

      My error the instructions from extensis should be:

      Mac OS X 10.3 (Panther)

      * Close all applications, including Suitcase Fusion
      * Drag the following files and folders to the Trash. You may need to enter an administrator password for each move.
        /Library/Caches/com.apple.ATS
        /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.ATS.System.fcache
        /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.ATSServer.FODB_System
        /System/Library/Caches/fontTablesAnnex
      * Restart the computer. You will not be able to empty the Trash until you restart.

      Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)

      * Close all applications, including Suitcase Fusion
      * Go to /Library/Caches/ and drag the "com.apple.ATS" folder to the Trash. You may need to enter an administrator password.
      * Restart the computer. You will not be able to empty the Trash until you restart.

      Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)

      * Close all applications, including Suitcase Fusion
      * Launch Terminal
      * Enter the following command at the prompt and press Return: atsutil databases -removeUser
      * Quit Terminal

        AppleJack clears all files from Cache folders in all domains, and will also remove all user specific cache files if you choose to do so during a manual run.

        AppleJack does NOT do the following: "3. Remove the file com.apple.ATS.plist from
        /Users/[name]/Library/Preferences." as AppleJack does not remove preferences files unless they have been found to be corrupt.

        AppleJack is not compatible with Leopard.
