Having intalled all-in-one 0.1.2, the default is set to
using OpenFT only. Since we just compiled the FastTrack
and Gnutella clients, it would be better if these
plugins were used by default.

So I go to Settings/Configure/Advanced and add in the
two plugins. From a usability standpoint, this is less
than optimal for such a standard operation: It should
be called Settings/Configure/P2P networks, and it
should give me a list of the available network plugins,
telling me which ones are currently being used and
which ones I can add.

After adding the plugins, the program asks me to
reconnect, I say Ok. Nothing happens. Under Info, I get
the message
"Connection error
The giFT daemon, which is responsible for connecting
to the
various networks, appears to be down and I don't seem
to
able to start it."
It turns out that the directories .giFT/Gnutella and
.giFT/FastTrack were missing, which caused giftd to
die. That's probably a bug in giftd, but apollo could
work around it. I created the two (empty) directories,
and all worked well
