Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7178040 By: pboy Hi all, as part of our ongoing work to make APLAWS standard compliant I would propose to remove the URL resource protocol extension and to revert to the ccm-core/src/com/arsdigita/util/parameter/ResourceParameter class. I created a ticket with a longer description. https://fedorahosted.org/aplaws/ticket/18 Would be nice if we could make a decision here. If nobody objects I will take it as consent. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=7047349 By: terry_permeance I had a play with CMIS 0.5 by partially implementing the "Repository" service using Axis2... Here's the code: http://svn.fedorahosted.org/svn/aplaws/contrib/permeance/ccm-cmis/ There is a soapUI test project in ccm-cmis/test/soapui if you want to have a look. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=6823155 By: terry_permeance Any thoughts on if aplaws should move to Saxon 9 or Xalan 2.7 rather than sticking with Saxon 6.5? ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=6823118 By: terry_permeance Ok, that makes sense. We've typically dropped the "ccm-" for our specialisations and used ccm- for anything we expect to contribute... (eventually) Terry P.S. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=6823055 By: terry_permeance Hi Peter, Yes, it's intended to be a one time loader of demo content and product documentation so if you install aplaws there is something useful to see and interact with. The idea would be to add this module to the demo and dev bundles. For dev, I find it painful to create test data from scratch again after rebuilding my db from scratch so while I'm creating test data I thought I should create something more useful... A couple of candidates for more content that could be be added... 1. More examples of different content types using appropriately licensed content 2. RedHat CMS and WAF documentation -- convert the existing html to mpa xml import (or do we move this to the wiki?) Ideally the sample content would be assigned to navigation categories. Also, portlets would be set up on the home page to create an out-of-the-box working CMS. Maybe even a nicer default theme? So maybe we really need create ccm-cms-docs and ccm-cms-demo. Thoughts? Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=6809601 By: pboy Terry, I'm just thinking about the usage / purpose of the module. I suppose it is to be used one time to load initial content? Or should it be used to add a lot of content in one step (but this is the purpose of ccm-ldn-importer, isn't it?) Or will it be part of a demo installation (along with your project to add an embedded database?) Or should it become a generic / general purpose integration module, a sort of ccm-gen-aplaws? Just some thoughts Peter ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=6809478 By: pboy Terry, for example, we are working on a special edition for scientific research institutions and need some additions to the organization content type (or perhaps a complete new one). So it may be named ccm-sci-cms-types-organization And we are developing an application module to handle scientific publication lists, it may be named ccm-sci-publication Peter ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=6657179 By: shawnlane Have you changed the following system property to use Xalan instead of Saxon? -Djavax.xml.transform.TransformerFactory=com.icl.saxon.TransformerFactoryImpl Yes By default aplaws uses Saxon 6.5 which is quite old. This doesn't seem to be a limitation but it's always nice to keep things on the latest release. Which version of Xalan are you using and did you find all the stylesheets worked okay? Xalan 2.7.0 ( there is a 2.7.1, but this has not been updated for several years either) Stylesheets work fine with Xalan. ______________________________________________________________________ You are receiving this email because you elected to monitor this forum. Read and respond to this message at: https://sourceforge.net/forum/message.php?msg_id=6619891 By: terry_permeance I think you need a navigation template specifically for news: 1. Copy default.jsp to news.jsp 2. Add an entry to NAV_TEMPLATES table 3. Restart APLAWS 4. Use /ccm/navigation/admin to make the news template the default for that node of the navigation 5. Edit news.jsp as follows to use the "newsDate" for sorting: ((com.arsdigita.london.navigation.ui.object.SimpleObjectList) itemList).setDefinition(new CMSDataCollectionDefinition()); ((com.arsdigita.london.navigation.ui.object.SimpleObjectList) itemList).setRenderer(new CMSDataCollectionRenderer()); ((com.arsdigita.london.navigation.ui.object.SimpleObjectList) itemList).getDefinition().setObjectType("com.arsdigita.cms.contenttypes.NewsItem "); ((com.arsdigita.london.navigation.ui.object.SimpleObjectList) itemList).getDefinition().setDescendCategories(false); ((com.arsdigita.london.navigation.ui.object.SimpleObjectList) itemList).getDefinition().addOrder("newsDate desc"); ((com.arsdigita.london.navigation.ui.object.SimpleObjectList) itemList).getRenderer().setPageSize(30); ((com.arsdigita.london.navigation.ui.object.SimpleObjectList) itemList).getRenderer().addAttribute("objectType"); ((com.arsdigita.london.navigation.ui.object.SimpleObjectList) itemList).getRenderer().addAttribute("title"); ((com.arsdigita.london.navigation.ui.object.SimpleObjectList) itemList).getRenderer().addAttribute("displayName"); ((com.arsdigita.london.navigation.ui.object.SimpleObjectList) itemList).getRenderer().addAttribute("newsDate"); Hope this helps!
