There was jmbox project (http://sourceforge.net/projects/jmbox) that planned to develop JavaMail providers for a number of MUAs (including Mozilla family) but actually, only MSOE 5.0/6.0 support is implemented. The project seems dead now. I'm finally thinking that the best idea would be to write MUA-specific providers for every MUA type I'd want supported. I don't like how GNU mbox/maildir providers work with the real-life MUA's, as they all seem to extend the format with their own non-standard features (i.e. Mozilla's ".sbd" directories). GNU providers are unaware of that proprietary stuff and it causes numerous bugs. -- Best regards, Alex Alishevskikh http://cyberborean.wordpress.com |
