Todd, Thanks for the advice on gcc/g77. I did not have it installed. I installed the gcc from the mac developer CD (included with OS X 10.3) and g77 from fink. However even after gcc/g77 installation the same error message on apbs invocation is returned and another search did not turn up libg2c.0.dylib. I do have the files "libg2c.la" and "libg2c.a". Can I generate libg2c.0.dylib from these files? A second issue which I've noticed is the path for this lib is /usr/local/lib/. Most of the OS X systems that I have used have had a /usr/lib but not a /usr/local/lib/. Could this also cause problems?
