Hi Michael -- You have a good point. We could change this to: "APBS is a software package to model the electrostatic interactions between biomolecules in solution. In particular, APBS was designed for the numerical solution of the Poisson-Boltzmann equation (PBE), one of the most popular continuum models for describing electrostatic interactions between molecular solutes in salty, aqueous media." Is this any better? I'm not sure it can be made more general and am skeptical that less knowledgeable users would want to use the package.
