Unless someone in userland tries to use the device, the driver has no idea that it has gone away. If someone does try to use the device, the driver will change its state to "down". So you can't really tell the aoe driver, "Forget about device eX.Y," at this point. Of course, you can unload and reload the driver if it's a module, and that will give you a clean slate. I don't know if it matters. I guess it might be desirable to be able to tell the driver to forget about absent devices and so to make aoe-stat's output more accurate and succinct. -- Ed L Cashin <ec...@co...> |
