[Aodvimpl] Route recovery process initiated by the broken destination

I am a student and working on AODV to write thesis .I want the information
from the Implementer's   that is it possible for the destination
side(immediate downstream node to the broken link ) to initiate a route
change request towards the source node when the route failure is detected
by the downstream node of the broken link (i.e when it
doesn't receive control packets from the immediate upstream) ?
