Hello, my name is Haig. I have taken over the project from Patricia. I understand that she had a couple of outstanding questions: * Currently, I have been using the g77 compiler and it runs quite well. This question pertains to support for the g77 linker. I am using an exec task to link FORTRAN programs since the option 'linker name = "g77"' is not supported. Is this support in the works? Also, to extend this a little, will there be support for specifying the linker (g77,f77,etc) as an option in the source file? This would give me a great deal of flexibility. * I have noticed that sometimes the Dependencies.xml and the History.xml files are not always generated and every time I issue "ant -f mybuild.xml", all my source files get re-compiled and linked even thought they have not changed and I already have the object files. I have also noticed that even when the Dependencies.xml and History.xml are generated, some of the files get re-compiled when they (and their dependencies) have not changed. I have been able to narrow down this behaviour to my use of absolute paths. When I use absolute paths, there is a complete re-compile and the 2 XML files mentioned above are not generated. When I use relative paths, about 85% of my files behave correctly, but some, as mentioned above, get re-compiled anyway. Is this related phenomenon related to my path use, or is it just a coincidence? Has anyone else encountered this problem? I am using the gcc compiler in cpptasks 1.0 beta 1. All your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Haig |
