ArgoUML doesn't know how to read/write/manage HREFs.  Reading them isn't that big a deal, but it will take more work before you're able to modify a project and write it back out again.  It's a pretty popular request, so it's near the top of the list (and we have some Google Summer of Code project proposals to work on it), but we're also always looking for more contributors if you'd like to come help out.
