What steps will reproduce the problem?

1. Export secret key from Thunderbird 11/Enigmail on Ubuntu (lucid) Linux x86
   running kernel 3.2.6.

2. Transfer asc file exported from Thunderbird/Enigmail to Android device
sdcard root directory via usb cable.

3. Import asc file into APG using 'import secret key' function.

4. Attempt to decrypt an encrypted mail message in K9 Mail. Fails.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

Expect to decrypt the message when inputting correct secret key passphrase, which works fine on the system from which it was exported (also the system from which the keys were originally generated, if that matters at all).

Instead, APG returns "Wrong Passphrase" error message every time, though I have double and quadruple checked to make sure I am providing the correct input.

FYI, my passphrase includes special characters.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

Samsung Galaxy SPH-P100

APG v1.0.8

CyanogenMod9

Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3

jt1134's kernel 2.6.35.7

Please provide any additional information below.

Everything else about APG and K9 Mail works together beautifully, even given my rather unusual configuration for this device. This not accepting my secret key's passphrase is the only problem I am having. Really, this is excellent all around and super helpful. Thanks a bunch.

You can close this one (would delete myself, but don't think I can do that - not sure, first time I've even used this part of Google).

PEBKAC - Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair

I use a custom keyboard app that makes the entry of certain special characters more challenging than it might be on a regular PC keyboard.

I have since been able to get it working - there is nothing wrong with APG, just an entry problem on my part.

Thanks again for a very important app.
