Song Manager

AnchorCast includes a full song library with lyrics editor, auto slide formatting, and multiple import options.

Opening the Song Manager

Click Songs in the top toolbar, or press Ctrl+M.

Adding Songs

Search & Import from Genius

1. Click + New in the Songs tab
2. Type the song title or artist in the search box
3. Click Search Genius
4. Select the correct result and click Import

Requires a free GENIUS_API_KEY — add it in Settings → Integrations.

Import from EasyWorship / ProPresenter XML

1. Click + New → Import
2. Select your EasyWorship .db file or ProPresenter .pro / .pro6 XML file
3. Songs are imported with their existing slide structure

Paste Raw Lyrics

1. Click + New
2. Paste the full lyrics into the text area
3. AnchorCast automatically detects verses, choruses, and bridges
4. Edit any slide in the editor before saving

Manual Entry

1. Click + New
2. Enter the song title, artist, and key
3. Type or paste lyrics
4. Use the slide editor to split into individual slides

Song Library

Each song in your library shows:

• Title and Artist
• Slide count (e.g. 22 slides)
• Action buttons: Preview (▣), Remove (−), Delete (🗑)

Search your library using the search bar at the top of the Songs tab.

Slide Formatting

AnchorCast auto-formats lyrics into slides using these rules:

• 2 lines = 1 slide (default)
• Blank lines = slide break
• Section labels ([Verse 1], [Chorus], [Bridge]) are detected and tagged automatically

Each slide is labelled with its section type (VERSE, CHORUS, BRIDGE, etc.) for easy navigation during a service.

Displaying a Song

1. Find the song in the Songs tab
2. Click it to open the Song Slides view — shows all slides as a grid
3. Click any slide to preview it in the Program Preview panel
4. Press Project Live to send it to the screen
5. Use ← → or arrow keys to navigate between slides

Adding to Schedule

Click + Schedule while a song is open to add it to the service schedule. You can also drag songs directly into the schedule.

Song Themes

Each song can use the global theme or a custom per-song theme. To apply a theme:

1. Open the song in the Song Manager
2. Click Theme in the song editor toolbar
3. Select a theme from the list or create a new one

Export & Backup

Songs are stored locally in AppData\Roaming\AnchorCast\AnchorCastData\Data\songs.json.

• Export — Click the Export button in the Song Manager to save as JSON
• Import — Drag a previously exported JSON file onto the Song Manager
• Automatic backup — AnchorCast backs up your song library every Sunday automatically
