I had a look at twapi for sounds in windows, it is really easy to use. It even has the option of looping a sound until it is stopped with a stop command :) (or if another sound is tried to be played). However I don't think this comes with the standard tcl/tk libraries? It d= id however point me to the "snack" library, which does come standard with tcl/tk. Another upside with snack is that it is not platform specific, an= d can currently play; AV, MP3, AU, SND, AIFF, SD, SMP, CSL, and RAW binary files. It can play files synchronously or asynchronously therefore not blocking.= I don't think it has looping internally but shouldn't be too difficult to implement. Anyway, what do people think about using this package to play the sounds = for all platforms (accept possibly for Mac)? Lio ----- Original Message -----=20 From: "=C1lvaro J.
