[AMOS-help] "The observed variable, e1, is represented by an ellipse in the p ath diagram"?

Hello all,

I'm quite new to AMOS 6.0.0 (build 848), but I have a diagram that works on
one SPSS datafile and fails when using another SPSS datafile with the
message:

"The observed variable, e1, is represented by an ellipse in the path
diagram"?

The variable in question is an error term named via the AMOS plug in. Any
help figuring out what the problem is would be greatly appreciated.
