smbfs 1.102 available for download

This version attempts to improve compatibility with Windows Vista/7/8, as well as fixing numerous bugs, some of which have been around for more than 15 years.

Please note that smbfs 1.102 is still not compatible with the SMB2/SMB3 protocols which are used, for example, in the current Mac OS X 10.11 and Windows 10 releases.

Thanks go to Harry Sintonen, David Gerber and Frank Mariak who provided the bug fixes in the MorphOS version, which found their way into this release, and to Matthew McDonald, Rob Cranley and Huber Maier, who tested the updated versions as they evolved.

amiga-smbfs 1.73 attempts to fix Samba 3.x and Vista issues

The 1.73 update introduces small changes in the SMB packet validation code, and the OS4 version has been rebuilt with the latest compiler and 'C' runtime library versions.

This release should perform better with Samba 3.2.5 and Microsoft Windows Vista shares than earlier versions. Which means that at least you should be able to connect to the respective SMB server shares, which older versions of amiga-smbfs had great difficulties doing.
