Dear all, It's here! I just made a new tag for the alpha release of AMELIA (after correcting a couple more bugs discussed yesterday with Karol), and made a zip package containing the Windows version which is now online. The Linux .deb package should follow soon. Go to http://sourceforge.net/projects/amelia/ and you should see right away the big green download panel on the top. So, here's the mandatory disclaimer: This is an *alpha* release, which naturally has many bugs and incomplete features. But overall it runs pretty well (both in Windows and Linux) and seems to perform very well at least three of its intended functions: - Visualization of events and the ATLAS detector - Calculation of combined invariant masses - A cool, engaging look and interface tuned to appeal to generic users Over the next few days I'll update several elements on the web page (including the interface walktrough). This will however be a slow process since there's another project requiring my utmost attention and sense of urgency. Finally, kudos to Karol. You are the best collaborator I could ever get. Cheers, Joao =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Joao Pequenao Mailstop 50R-6222 Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory 1 Cyclotron Road Berkeley, CA 94720 USA Tel: (510) 486-4290 Fax: (510) 486-4799 Email: jpp...@LB...
