Xubuntu Desktop x64 v12.10
sudo apt-get install fglrx-updates fglrx-amdcccle-updates fglrx-updates-dev - was run when I setup the machine not sure what version of AMD drivers I Have - I will check later
The Graphics card is a Power Color HD7950 - (AX7950-3GBD5-2DHV5E)

According to your software it only has Low and High Profile. I can change the voltage for the low profile and see that it takes effect on the Info Page. However I can set the High Profile voltage but regardless to what I set it to it always runs at the stock voltage of 1.188, setting the core clock for the high profile works.

The windows application PowerUp Tuner from power Color can change the voltage resulting in lower power draw at the power outlet and lower temperatures.

Seems to be a problem with ADL_Overdrive5_ODPerformanceLevels_Set() for voltage on 7950s and 7970s (http://devgurus.amd.com/thread/158840)

Perhaps it is required to use ADL_Overdrive6 from the ADL 5.0 although I am not sure what method to use.

I was using a very old version of the AMD drivers I updated to 13.4 high profile voltage problem is still there.

I'm sorry but I don't use an AMD card anymore (at least right now). Changing from "ADL_Overdrive5" to "ADL_Overdrive6" would require testing which I can't do right now.
Maybe I will buy a new AMD card sometimes in the future. I will then of course take advantage of the latest ADL SDK.

I would send you a AMD Card for testing =).
