Hi Lawrence, > You must have an out of date ports tree, as it has P9 in. ???? When I pull the list of the main site and the Dutch mirrors the version I see is: amavisd-new-20030314.p2_1 I thought the ports tree was being rebuilt each and every time you connect to it from sysinstall?!? > FYI the install sequence on FreeBSD is: > > cd /usr/ports/security/amavisd-new > make install > > And your done. Edit your configs to taste. Sure sounds easy. ;) Oh well, at least I got some useful practice in manually resolving my Perl misconfiguration :/ Now... everything does work now, but I still have to create the proper sendmail startup script for /etc/rc.d Does the automatic package installation also create the proper dual sendmail set-up including such /etc/rc.d script(s) for sendmail? Or does it only only add the Amavis package without further configuring the MTA? Finally: if anyone has a neat /etc/rc.d script for the dual sendmail set-up, I would very much appreciate receiving a copy of it. If not, I'll work one out myself. Cheers! Olaf |
