[AMaViS-user] ScannerDaemon - UNKNOWN STATUS

I have Amavis running with ClamAV.  All seems to be working just fine,
except when I read my mail log I see the following entries.

Apr 12 19:51:28 *SNIP* amavis[14405]: Virus scanner failure:
ScannerDaemon - UNKNOWN STATUS (error code:
/var/amavis/amavis-16568661/parts: Can't access the file ERROR)

I go to that directory and see the following:

total 16

So I know its being written as root, and that's why it cant read the
files, but how do I change this?  It does work though when it finds a
virus in the email, it just doesn't work when it has a normal "clean"
message.
