The method described in the amavisd-new README.postfix is intended for
the release versions, and is describes in great detail how to use
amavisd-new with postfix 1.1 and newer.

The new postfix 2.1 FILTER_README.html describes in general terms how to
integrate any content filter with postfix, and describes some new
features introduced in postfix 2.1 and recent experimental
snapshots. 

Both methods are vaild with recent experimental snapshots; which one
you use is up to you.
