hello, i have a fujitsu lifebook C series laptop, with yamaha card. i cant seem to get alsa drivers to work. ... i run debian + 2.4.12 in order to load the driver, i do modprobe snd-pcm-oss modprobe snd-mixer-oss modprobe snd-card-ymfpci then, i either use 'alsamixer', or amixer to set the values of master, pcm, etc to non-muted state. after i am done, output of amixer does not show a single 'mute' element. when i try to play my mp3s using alsaplayer, it looks like it is playing, but absolutely no sound comes out. also, /proc/interrupts shows increasing # of interrupts generated by my card,so it seems to be functioning. a couple of days ago, i got it to work, but i am not quite sure what i did, and now i cant reproduce :( plz help. thanks, denis -- // mailto: Denis Perelyubskiy <denisp@CS.UCLA.EDU> // icq : 12359698 // PGP : http://www.cs.ucla.edu/~denisp/files/pgp.asc |
