Does anyone know what's up with the volume controls for the emu10k1 driver? The PCM volume seems to affect many things, including wavetable MIDI synth and digital S/PDIF input (e.g. digital CD audio), and the rear volumes are, interesting at best. Some channels refuse blind to go to the rear output (for example, line in, MIDI synth), and others are stuck there full volume (e.g. wave). I've now had to resort to plugging both front and rear speakers in the front output, thus negating the whole reason for having an SBLive! in the first place (plus it's annoying to have to swap it back when I play a DVD or otherwise need surround in Windows). Is this due to bad documentation of the chip, or bad programming? I can accept the former, since there's only so much the alsa developers can do without documentation - I sympothise with them in this case. But if documentation does exist can someone _please_ sort it out! -- Paul Evans (1st Year Maths & CompSci at Pembroke College, Cambridge, England) pe...@ca... (university) ne...@fr...
