well the kgcc thinghy did not work, BTW are there people using ALSA on RH
7.0 with glibc-2.2.4 on this list?

Please enlighten me.. xmms and kmix etc. work fine but whatever is linked to
alsa-libs i.e libasound.so just segfaults. I do not have a /etc/asound.conf
how can I create one?

What is this aserver ? I am unable to launch it.

Just checked that I was using alsa-0.9.0 beta2 so seems that a lot of
changes between these two.
