Hwllo. I did install alsa-driver alsa-util alsa-lib 0.9.0beta7 on a OC with RH 7.1 and sound car M-Audio Delta 1010. I do get partial sound working. Sound from applications like mp3 or real player. I still did nto get sound from exteral devices (synth) working. Also, when trying to run amixer or alsasound, or alsactl, I get following error: ALSA lib conf.c:1101:(snd_config_load) _toplevel_:6:8:Unexpected char ALSA lib conf.c:1983:(snd_config_hook_load) /etc/asound.conf may be old or corrupted: consider to remove or fix it ALSA lib conf.c:1824:(snd_config_hooks_call) function snd_config_hook_load returned error: Unknown error ALSA lib conf.c:2192:(snd_config_update) hooks failed, removing configuration /usr/sbin/alsactl: set_controls:883: snd_ctl_open error: Unknown error [jarek@localhost jarek]$ OK, any ideas where does this come from? I was using driver, utils and lib 0.5. before. Does installation of new driver actually overwrites the old one or we have to remove old one manually? Best Regards :) Jarek Myszewski _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp |
