I try to cross compile alsa-driver-1.0.15 on AD1981BL chip. According to http://www.alsa-project.org/main/index.php/Matrix:Vendor-Analog_Devices, alsa support AD1981B, I thinks it also supports AD1981BL, so I use module snd-intel8x0. I configure: CC=arm-linux-gcc \ CXX=arm-linux-g++ \ CFLAGS='-std=gnu99' \ LDFLAGS=-L$CROSS_LDFLAGS \ CPPFLAGS=-I$CROSS_CPPFLAGS \ AR=arm-linux-ar \ LD=arm-linux-ld \ RANLIB=arm-linux-ranlib \ STRIP=arm-linux-strip \ ./configure --host=arm-linux --with-oss=yes --with-debug=detect \ --with-kernel=/home/hptai/source/KZM/4.5/linux-2.6.16-alsa \ --with-build=/home/hptai/source/KZM/4.5/linux-2.6.16-alsa \ --with-cards=intel8x0 \ --with-sequencer=yes *************************************************************************** The log is: checking for arm-linux-gcc... arm-linux-gcc checking for C compiler default output file name... a.out checking whether the C compiler works... yes checking whether we are cross compiling... yes checking for suffix of executables... checking for suffix of object files... o checking whether we are using the GNU C compiler... yes checking whether arm-linux-gcc accepts -g... yes checking for arm-linux-gcc option to accept ISO C89... none needed checking for arm-linux-ranlib... arm-linux-ranlib checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c checking how to run the C preprocessor... arm-linux-gcc -E checking for grep that handles long lines and -e... /bin/grep checking for egrep... /bin/grep -E checking for ANSI C header files... yes checking for an ANSI C-conforming const... yes checking for inline... inline checking whether time.h and sys/time.h may both be included... yes checking whether arm-linux-gcc needs -traditional... no checking for current directory... /home/hptai/source/alsa/alsa-driver-1.0.15 checking cross compile... checking for directory with kernel source... /home/hptai/source/KZM/4.5/linux-2.6.16-alsa checking for directory with kernel build... /home/hptai/source/KZM/4.5/linux-2.6.16-alsa checking for kernel linux/version.h... yes checking for kernel linux/autoconf.h... yes checking for kernel version... 0.0.0 checking for GCC version...
