Hello list, I got my laptop a week ago. Everything is OK but sound. When I use lspci, I get this message: 00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02) It's said that I should use snd-hda-intel. So I did. I installed alsa-driver-1.0.11 and alsa-utils-1.0.11 and loaded the modules without any options. Seems everything is OK but the sound doesn't work. #alsamixer Card: HDA Intel Chip: Realtek ALC861 There are five control volume. They are PCM, front, CD, Mic, and Input Source. It's said that there should be a Master control normally, and the front only can be turn off and turn on but turn up or down. Somebody said that I should add the model option with module. The model on ALC861 are 3stack, 3stack-dig, 6stack-dig, and auto. So I try all of them. They can made more control volume in alsamixer. But most of them cannot be turn up or down, and there is still not a Master control volume. Sometime I start the system, I will got the message after alsa has been loaded: /usr/sbin/alsactl: set_control: 894: warning: name mismatch (side Playback Switch/CD Playback Volume) for control #5 /usr/sbin/alsactl: set_control: 896: warning: index mismatch (0/0) for control #5 /usr/sbin/alsactl: set_control: 1023: bad control.5.value.0 content I have been searching the solution for a week on Google. Could anyone help me? |
