James: following your post indicating that you've had the new driver
working successfully followinga arrival of the card from Creative, I
still find that it doesn't work for me.
I previously asked the question above about my general ALSA setup, which
no-one replied to. Do I need ALSA *everything* from CVS, or just the
drivers?
I'm getting 'laser-gun' like sound when doing a speaker-test (either a
six-channel or a two-channel output). The driver appears to have loaded
cleanly, however:
