To my untrained eye it just looked at bit much to have graphics cards, 2 sound cards and usb on one interrupt. > Does it seem to work OK? Most of the time a shared interrupt is > not a problem. It's only in pathological cases where it matters at all. Yes, although using ICE1712 is a real pain. The sound quality is fine, but it is very sensitive to changes in ALSA and config and not exactly compatible with generic sound progs. It took me forever to get it working with Arts back in 2002-2003. It's been some time since I tried using Jack, but that worked about 6 months ago. I've recently gotten dmix to work, and Mplayer keeps getting xruns when outputting to ALSA. I haven't had time to look into it further. > If you do want to change the IRQ assignment and the graphics card can't > be moved then your only chance is moving the sound card or cards, Hmf, too bad it isn't a simple text file somewhere. Thank you for your answer, I appreciate it. Niels |
