I suppose if this is true, you could partially blame creative for switching them, but, then while you're at it you can join the crowd complaining to them for suddenly reversing their original feelings towards linux.=20 Anyway, I do believe that whether it's a simple matter of numbers switched or just a mislabled option in the drivers, it's definitely clear that this explains the problems I've had all along. Thank goodness kmix had it's own seperate values so I was able to see the problem and finally get sound in linux again. I can't help you with "ALSA terminology" I'm afraid. For one thing, I"m not even sure what you mean by that, which really proves my ignorance on the subject, huh? |
