It looks a bit strange to me that such a well though out, modular and configurable piece of software like ALSA wouldn't cater for such a need, or am I missing another way to achieve "stable" device naming. I've just had a look through /etc/udev and got the feeling that even udev/hotplug is out of the picture, and alsa does the device naming by itself, am I right? Thanks, --Amos |
