Hi, I am running Debian Sarge with kernel-2.6.8. I have installed alsa driver version 1.0.9b along with library version 1.0.9b. I have a Creative Labs SB Audigy LS audio card. I am using the ca0106 driver and sound works but only in one channel. I tried fiddling with the various settings on alsamixer and that has no effect. If I boot into Windows XP and reboot into Linux, the sound works perfectly well. However if the machine is down for a while and I boot straight into Linux I get back to single channel audio. Here is more information on the card: # lspci -v 0000:00:0a.0 Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Audigy LS Subsystem: Creative Labs: Unknown device 1006 Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 32, IRQ 169 I/O ports at d000 [size=32] Capabilities: [dc] Power Management version 2 # cat /proc/asound/cards 0 [CA0106 ]: CA0106 - CA0106 Live! 7.1 24bit [SB0410] at 0xd000 irq 169 I'd appreciate any tips on how to get this solved. Please let me know if you need any more information. Thanks! cheers, prabhu |
