[Alsa-user] Setting defaults for arecord

Hi,

I'd like to set default values for channels, format and rate for
arecord. So instead of specifying these on the commandline, I'd be able
to simply type:

        arecord test.wav

to start recording with e.g, 48KHz sampling, format S24_3LE and 2
channels ...

Should that go into .asoundrc or asound.conf ?
I've found lots of mixer settings there, but not the above mentioned
parms.
