Re: [Alsa-user] can't get '-D rear' to work

I should have mentioned that I have a VIA 8235 controller.  lspci says
this:
0000:00:11.5 Multimedia audio controller: VIA Technologies, Inc.
VT8233/A/8235/8237 AC97 Audio Controller (rev 50)

and /proc/asound/cards has this:
0 [V8235          ]: VIA8233 - VIA 8235
                     VIA 8235 with ALC650E at 0xe800, irq 11

Anyone know how to get my rear speakers to work as separate channels?
