Actually it's easy to capture the FX buses as well as the inputs. I had planned to make this a mixer setting, but decided not to as I couldn't think of a simple way to expose it. Basically you would have the option of capturing the 16 EXTINS (the current behavior), the 16 FX buses, or both. With this last setting ALL audio streams that enter or leave the machine will be available on a JACK port, so you could play a DVD with mplayer and capture all 6 channels via JACK. This is on my TODO for ALSA 1.0.10. Lee |
