[Alsa-user] no midi with Alsa and kernel 2.6.8

Hello,

I have Debian Sarge with kernel 2.6.8 installed, compiled my own Alsa
drivers from source 1.0.9, using the how-to (1) for ice1712 and external
usb-device (./configure --with-cards=ice1712,usb-audio
--with-sequencer=yes). Midi was working fine, with jack both devices
were available. After rebooting, no midi device is present,
/dev/sequencer is not available. Maybe I need to set permissions for
creating the device, but where?
