Hello all, I'm using alsa 1.0.8 on kernel 2.6.10 with a simple ramdisk built by myself. The modules are inserted without any errors and I could find correct information from /proc/asound/cards. The contents of /proc/asound/devices are: 20: [0- 4]: digital audio playback 27: [0- 3]: digital audio capture 26: [0- 2]: digital audio capture 25: [0- 1]: digital audio capture 16: [0- 0]: digital audio playback 24: [0- 0]: digital audio capture 0: [0- 0]: ctl 33: : timer I created the device nodes (controlC0D0, pcmC0D0p, pcmC0D2c, pcmC0D4p, pcmC0D0c, pcmC0D1c, pcmC0D3c, timer) under /dev/snd according to this list. I then try to use amixer to adjust the volumes: ./amixer -D hw:0,0 It reported following errors: ALSA lib control.c:739:(snd_ctl_open_noupdate) Invalid CTL hw:0,0 amixer: Mixer attach hw:0,0 error: No such file or directory I also copied configuration files (alsa.conf etc.) according to Fedora 3, but still got the same error. However, when I install the same kernel and modules on a Fedora 3 system, everything works fine. So I think this may be caused by some missing config files or device nodes. Does anyone have any idea about it? Thanks! Best regards, Zhou Ping. _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? 150万曲MP3疯狂搜,带您闯入音乐殿堂 http://music.yisou.com/ 美女明星应有尽有,搜遍美图、艳图和酷图 http://image.yisou.com 1G就是1000兆,雅虎电邮自助扩容! http://cn.rd.yahoo.com/mail_cn/tag/1g/*http://cn.mail.yahoo.com/event/mail_1g/ |
