Although I would say that by now most of the thin= gs=20 on the system is compiled and no longer running from Fedora RPM's.=20 Your solution worked. Thank you very much. I had seen references to this=20 script, but assumed that these device nodes (or other appropriate ones as=20 needed) would have been created during the kernel install. Perhaps that is= =20 something that can be committed to 2.6.10 (if the appropriate eyes are=20 watching).=20 So I guess even if you are using the 2.6 ALSA drivers, you may still need t= o=20 download the drivers and run that 'snddevices' script. KDE is also now=20 seeing the ALSA subsystem. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get MIDI and mic recording workin= g=20 and I'll be set!=20 =2D-=20 Miles Stevenson mi...@ms...
